Oskar’s

A large central dining room, designed like a greenhouse and flooded with sunlight, and a trio of smaller, cozier, wood-paneled Stuben offer some of the best value in a town that’s not particularly noted for reasonable prices. The kitchen serves all day into the early-morning hours, sending out lots of old-fashioned Franconian favorites, such as loin of beef with horseradish sauce and Bayreuther-style Klos (potato dumplings), as well big platters of sausages, hearty breakfasts, snacks—the menu is large and the service is friendly.
