Meursault is a lovely spot for a break. In the heart of the village, this family-run three-star hotel in a 18th-century winegrower’s house offers a stylish and relaxing stay that won’t break the bank. The five spacious “Grands Crus” rooms are in the main house and individually decorated in traditional style, while the seven “Villages” rooms in the renovated outbuildings overlooking the courtyard are more contemporary and slightly cheaper. A large, tree-dotted garden with a swimming pool is a welcome oasis in summer. Though the hotel lacks a restaurant, plenty of good eating places are in the area, such as La Goutte d’Or (www.lagouttedor-meursault.fr; tel. 03-80-20-94-05), not to mention plenty of wineries for tastings. You might also like to visit the spa at nearby château-hotel La Cueillette (www.lacueillette.com; tel. 03-80-20-62-80).
