Getting There -- After you reach Banner Elk, you'll see Beech Mountain signposted. It's a 5-mile drive along the Beech Mountain Parkway to the top of the mountain.

Visitor Information -- Dispensing information is the very helpful staff at the Beech Mountain Chamber of Commerce, 403A Beech Mountain Pkwy. (tel. 800/468-5506 or 828/387-9283; www.beechmtn.com). It's open Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm.
