If you don’t like chicken, stay away from Henne in Kreuzberg, because chicken is almost the only thing they serve. But boy, is that crispy corn-fed poultry, with sides of coleslaw and potatoes, ever good. Chicken cooked to a special recipe is what Henne has been serving since 1908; a few other traditional dishes like sausages and meatballs are also on the limited menu. The price of a fulling and satisfying meal here may leave you clucking with pleasure. Henne is basically a working-class beer tavern housed in a late-19th-century building.
