Like Arlecchino, Lubitsch is a comfortable restaurant where you can get a good meal at a surprisingly affordable price. Named for Ernst Lubitsch, the German film director of the 1920s, this minimalist cafe and restaurant (paneled walls, tables with white tablecloths and flowers) is popular with Berlin’s television and film folk as well as locals and tourists. You can drop in for just a coffee and pastry or a glass a wine, or order a meal like Wiener schnitzel with cucumbers and fried potatoes, or the Lubitsch burger. All the ingredients are fresh, local and seasonal.
