This was the 1750’s home of the well-known Tucker family of England, Bermuda, and Virginia. It displays a notable collection of Bermuda cedar furniture, Tucker family portraits, and sterling silver tableware. Also in the Tucker House is the Joseph Rainey Memorial Room, where Joseph Hayne Rainey (see p. ###) practiced barbering. An exhibit on the ground floor traces the archaeological history of the site and the fully-restored kitchen is an excellent window into the world of early cooks.
