This charming guesthouse stands at the water’s edge in Salt Kettle, just across the bay from the City of Hamilton. Family owned for more than 60 years, with shady lawns and lush flower gardens, its atmosphere is relaxed and its service personal. Rooms vary in size, but many of them feature water views from the bedrooms; they’re outfitted with simple wood furnishings, island-inspired artwork and in most cases, kitchens or kitchenettes (two units have a fridge only). There’s no pool or beach, but guests can rent canoes for a paddle on the harbor or simply jump in for swim, since Greenbank is located directly on the water. Heading to Hamilton? Then hop aboard the public ferry, which docks just steps from the inn.
