True to its name, this collection of one- and two- bedroom apartments in Warwick Parish is located on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It's considered beachfront, as the property has its own private slice of sand, but getting there is tricky: Guests must navigate winding flower-lined paths that descend a steep sloping hillside (seniors and mobility impaired take note). You will however, have an unobstructed view of Bermuda’s south shore from Surf Side’s grounds, swimming pool, and all of its guest rooms, which feature balconies or patios but not much else to wow the eyes. In fact, most rooms are in dire need of an update considering that the furniture, drapery, and bedding all evoke a distinctly 80s vibe (think flowered pink duvets and white wooden dressers). Most have full kitchens with a stove, microwave oven, and large refrigerators, which is all the better, as there are no on-site restaurants at Surf Side To fill the cupboards take the number 7 bus to the Modern Mart just east of the hotel in Paget Parish.
