When this hip hotel opened its doors on the site of the former Pink Beach Club in 2017, it ushered in a new era for Bermuda’s hotels. This is, quite simply, the island’s most contemporary property designwise, from its glass spiral staircase in the main building to its walls of windows, which allow natural light and Atlantic Ocean views to flood its lobby, restaurant and public areas. Rooms are no less stylish; in fact, they’re downright gorgeous. Marble bathrooms feature walk-in rain showers, giant freestanding soaking tubs and Malin+Goetz beauty products; bedrooms boast handsome driftwood flooring, sleek minimalist furniture, and warm hues of white and gray; and spacious outdoor balconies have large sitting areas with airy steel wire railings, which allow for uninterrupted Atlantic Ocean views.
Its restaurants too, are among Bermuda’s best: Mareé a tasting menu-only joint and the Pink Beach Club an al fresco dining room that serves throughout the day. There’s a full-service spa on-site and two world-class golf courses nearby—the Mid Ocean Club and Tucker’s Point—but if you’d prefer to spend your time lazing at the hotel, opt for its über-private pink sand beach (unlike some hotel beaches, it’s not attached to a larger public beach) or one of its two heated oceanfront pools (one for adults only).
