Hang with the locals at the chill, al fresco beachfront bar, right next to a nature reserve. The soundtrack will be reggae and soca, the drinks are served in solo cups but boy are they strong, and the “Yummy”—a fish sandwich—lives up to its name. The only downside is something that could be seen as an upside: this is well off the beaten path, so you’ll need to rent a scooter or take a taxi, as busses don’t operate nearby. But that keeps the vibe real here (its never overwhelmed with cruiseshippers). Bring the kids: Clearwater Beach is lovely and there’s a sprawling playground next to the restaurant. As you might have guessed, the resto is named for the island’s colorful folk dancers.
