This roadside restaurant is located directly across the street from the entrance to Horseshoe Bay Beach, making it a perfect stop for lunch before you take a dip or for an early dinner after you’re done swimming (just make sure to cover up before you head over). Since it’s owned by an Italian ex-pat originally from Lake Como, the food is authentically Italy and quite good: thin crust pizzas and specialties from northern Italy, like veal Milanese, a fried veal cutlet over arugula. Also on offer: simple preparations of fresh local fish (wahoo with soy, ginger and lime was a recent special). Tip: If you’ve rented a Twizy (see p. ###), Gulfstream has two electric power stations where you can plug in and charge up.
