It may take some doing to actually find this hole-in-the-wall curry house on the northern edge of Hamilton—known locally as “backatown,” which is Bermudian slang for “back of town”—but once you arrive, you’ll be rewarded with some of the island’s finest Indian cuisine. Because the setting is no frills, we’d suggest you head to the takeout counter (among the busiest in Bermuda), where locals line up nightly for the northern Indian-style vegetarian, beef, lamb, and chicken dishes, spice level moderated upon request. We particularly like the chicken tikka masala with it sweet and spicy cream sauce and the beef rogan josh, a hearty curry with yogurt and tomatoes. In addition to its ala carte dinner menu, the restaurant also features a daily lunch buffet.
