Housed inside an old stone building across from the National Museum of Bermuda, this art gallery specializes in paintings and sculptures, mostly from Bermudian artisans (some of whom you can watch at work, since the Arts Centre also rents three studios to working artists). It features new exhibitions every four to six weeks from well-known local artists such as Christopher Grimes, Graham Foster and Jill Amos Raine. Goods will include inexpensive reproduction prints, mid-range originals and limited edition works of art, which can be shipped to your destination of choice if they’re too big—or too precious—to be taken on a plane.
