Around 1820, this soaring masonry workspace was a repair yard for high-masted ships. Today, every inch of the cavernous room is filled with glassware and baked goods that are created on site and in most cases, in plain view. At the Glassworks pull up a chair and watch master blowers create colorful vases, paperweights and trinkets from hot molten glass. And at the Rum Cake Factory, sample a dozen different traditional Bermuda rum cakes in flavors like black rum, rum swizzle, chocolate, coconut, coffee, and banana.
