This giant pink skyscraper of a hotel stands on the Rio Nervión opposite the Euskalduna Palace. The work of Basque architect Ricardo Legorreta, the hotel was inspired by the site-specific sculptures of Eduardo Chillida. The soaring lobby (40m/131 ft. high) is filled with large-scale contemporary art, as are many of the public rooms. All the bathrooms feature marble tubs, and guest rooms are oversized and well-equipped for both business and leisure travelers with power sockets on every wall. The hotel stands at one of the high points of the city, and most guest rooms have dramatic views.
