The Best Outdoor Adventures
Biking: Bogotá is a biker’s city, especially on Sundays and holidays when the city hosts Ciclovía, an event where many roads are closed to automobiles and opened to bikers, walkers, and joggers; thousands of Bogotanos take to the streets between 7am and 2pm. It’s one of the city’s greatest communal experiences. Bogotá Bike Tours (www.bogotabiketours.com; tel. 1/342-7649) rents bikes and leads bike tours around the city.
Bullfighting: Bullfighting season is in December, January, and February at La Plaza de Los Toros Santa María. A number of smaller events are held here throughout the year. For information about bullfighting, contact the Corporación Taurina de Bogotá, Calle 70A no. 6-24 (tel. 1/334-1628) or La Plaza de Toros, Carrera 6 no. 26-50 (tel. 1/334-1482).

The two local teams are: Los Millonarios, Carrera 9 no.70–09 (www.millonarios.com.co; tel. 1/347-7080) and Independiente Santa Fe, Calle 64A no. 38–08 (tel. 1/544-6670), both of which you can contact for tickets. Games take place at El Estadio Nemesio Camacho El Campín, Carrera 30 no. 57–60 (tel. 1/315-8726).
