Most Boquete residents are tucked into bed by 11pm, but there are a couple of places for a nightcap or a night out. Zanzíbar, located on Avenida Central on the right side past the church, is an attractively decorated bar with African odds and ends. It's a cozy place for a cocktail (open Tues-Sun until midnight). Snoopy's, reached by crossing the yellow bridge over the river at Calle 4 Sur, has a casual restaurant serving hearty food like sandwiches, burgers, and a couple of meat and fish main courses; there's a barn-size, open-air bar here and a dance floor that is best on Friday and Saturday nights, when it fills with revelers dancing to DJ music until 1am. Las Cabanas, located 3.2km (2 miles) outside of town on the road to the Coffee Estate Inn, is a newer bar/dance club popular with Boquete's younger crowd. It gets crowded Friday and Saturday nights after Zanzibar closes.
