If you have a sweet tooth, like us, you'll love the local specialty, the zandraglia. Sold at pastry shops in the area, this traditional treat is a large sweet cookie shaped like a butterfly. Dedicated to the pastry, the Sagra della Zandraglia is a fair that's held on the second Sunday of July. For the best zandraglia (which are only made at this time of year), head for Vaiano, near the excavations at Via Cirillo Emanuele 163 (tel. 081-5374372).
