A $100-million overhaul completed in 2016 has spruced up the 1927 building, from the soaring lobby and grand ballroom to guest rooms, which have all been renovated. Keep in mind that the smallest units, called “Run of the House,” are just 150 square feet (consider upgrading at least to a Deluxe if you’re sharing). With a lot of rooms to fill and a hunger to reestablish itself as a go-to option, its prices are competitive.
