With Verb, Boston finally gets the rock ‘n’ roll hotel it deserves. Unveiled in 2014 in a renovated 1959 motel, Verb sits in the shadow of the city’s historic baseball stadium, Fenway Park, and is rich in the neighborhood’s rock history—and managed with care by the former GM of the Four Seasons Hotel Boston. Artwork includes framed covers of the old pop culture magazine Boston Phoenix and photos from the beloved (and long gone) Kenmore Square punk venue The Rat. Rooms surround an outdoor pool and some of the windows are candy-colored, lending a cheery pop and sizzle to the retro-chic locale.
