From a single location in the South End, Flour grew into a little local chain that serves irresistible baked goods all day and wildly popular lunches. Lines are long at all four locations from shortly before noon until nearly 2pm. The hearty sandwiches (on bread made in house), salads, and soups are so good that you might not mind having to wait for dessert. But the desserts are amazing—cookies like house-made “Oreos,” macaroons, tarts, out-of-this-world sticky buns, and more.
