Lunch here is a true Boston experience, especially if you like Sicilian-style (thick crust) pizza—one friend of mine says it’s the best in the city. Join the line that forms moments after the doors open; your fellow patrons will be office workers and North End locals as well as sightseers. Check out what’s on their paper plates: arancini (rice balls stuffed with ground beef, peas, and cheese, then deep-fried); meat, vegetable, and cheese calzones; and maybe best of all, panzarotti (potato croquettes molded around mozzarella and fried). And that amazing pizza, served by the slice. Have your cash out (no credit cards here), ask for a soft drink or beer, and grab a table.
