With a few exceptions, the shops and boutiques at the Pru are outlets of upscale chains, but it’s a fun destination with a pleasant outdoor courtyard at its center. The main level of the city’s second-tallest tower houses a large Barnes & Noble and one of the few retail outlets for the office and home accessories of Levenger ([tel] 800/667-8934 or 617/536-3434; www.levenger.com). The Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau operates the information booth. Hours are Monday through Saturday from 10am to 9pm, Sunday from 11am to 6pm. Restaurant hours vary.
