During Limpopo Valley's 7-night wilderness safaris, guests spend each night at a different camp within the Mashatu Game Reserve, in the eastern tip of Botswana; the focus is often on riding with the vast elephant herds. Participants spend the first night at the semipermanent Two Mashatus camp, in double safari tents that include en-suite toilets and hot-water showers. The rest of the week is spent in bush camps, including 2 nights under the stars in an old tribal court called the Kgotla. Horses are professionally schooled to be responsive, athletic, and forward going. Riders must be experienced, due to the presence of game such as lion, leopard, and elephant. Visitors who don't want a mobile safari can choose the Two Mashatus Safari or the Limpopo Lodge ride.
