Arriving

By Train -- There is no direct train service here. The nearest station is in the town of Mirandela, which is connected by bus to Bragança. For information and schedules, call tel. 808/208-208.

By Bus -- Rodonorte (tel. 27/330-01-083) runs 10 buses a day from Porto via Mirandela. The trip takes 4 hours and costs 12€ one-way. The same company runs five buses a day to Lisbon. The journey takes 8 hours and costs 19€ one-way.

By Car -- From Vila Real, continue northeast on E82.

Visitor Information

The tourist office is at Avenida Cidade de Zamora (tel. 27/338-12-73; www.rt-nordeste.pt). In winter, it's open Monday to Friday 9am to 12:30pm and 2 to 5pm, Saturday 10am to 12:30pm; in summer, hours are Monday to Friday 10am to 12:30pm and 2 to 6:30pm, Saturday 9am to 12:30pm and 2 to 5pm, and Sunday 9am to 1pm.
