If a restaurant’s quality can be judged by how hard it is to get in, this one wins hands down. Patrons are so loyal to this lovely little restaurant in a cottage that they fill it night after night. The menu is very inventive—just when you think you have it figured out, you try something like seared foie gras with griddled cornbread, smoked shallot jam, and pink. As you’d expect, this is an excellent place to order fish. But, again, you might want to try something unusual, such as the pan-roasted skate wing with an almond puree and curry vinaigrette. Desserts are particularly good here, but there is no escaping the chocolate bread pudding.
