Groeninge Museum: Size matters, but it isn't everything. Although relatively small compared to the great art museums in Brussels and Antwerp, Bruges's municipal fine-arts museum makes up in quality for what it lacks in size. How could it be otherwise when it houses the country's finest collection of works by the Flemish Primitives? This includes paintings by Jan van Eyck, Hans Memling, Rogier van der Weyden, and others.

Sint-Janshospitaal (St. John’s Hospital): While there are historic displays relating to the buildings past as a hospital, the main reason to come here is for the works of Hans Memling. His exquisite Shrine to St. Ursula is here, along with many other masterworks.
