Extremely youthful by Brussels chocolate-making standards, this chocolatier was only founded in 1995 but has quickly become a legend thanks to its sublime, jewel-like truffles and intensely flavored, handmade chocolates. Marcolini sources premium cocoa beans from small, handpicked producers around the world; other ingredients are also top quality—pink peppercorns from Morocco, Iranian pistachios, and vanilla from Madagascar. Prices are accordingly high, but worth the splurge, especially for the seasonal goodies and limited-edition chocolate boxes designed by the likes of Victoria Beckham and Tom Dixon. There are 11 locations in the city; the flagship  is at Place du Grand Sablon.
