The daily market on a large piazza in once-sleazy Marolles is a joy to rummage around; it has an eccentric bunch of stallholders selling an equally eccentric range of items from vintage clothes to knock-off watches. Those in the know go on Thursday, when there may be a sprinkling of antiques to be unearthed. Bargaining is sometimes acceptable, but play it by ear before diving in with insulting offers. The market’s open daily 7am until 2pm (till 3pm weekends).
