Csendes is on the corner of Károlyi Kert, a perfectly exquisite gated and meticulously landscaped park that sits behind the Károlyi Palace. During the warm months, competition is understandably fierce for the tables that Csendes Társ sets out next to the garden. When the sun is setting on a warm day, there's hardly a better place in Budapest to drink a chilled rosé or a furmint from Tokaj. Coffee and light dishes are also available. While you're in the area, check out the Csendes bar (Ferenczy István utca 5) nearby. Inside a former coffeehouse, it is a wonderland of a bar, creatively decorated with junk and castoffs.
