John Travolta celebrated his 50th birthday here, and Jennifer Aniston and friends regularly book the finest accommodations. The Palmilla is among Cabo's select celeb hangouts, but the special treatment extends to all guests. When it first opened on one of the most gorgeous swaths of land along the Corridor, the simple whitewashed hotel and chapel were buried in palm groves atop rock hills above the sea.

A complete makeover by the One&Only brand expanded the facilities significantly, but kept the classic white Moorish-Mexican style intact. Even the least expensive rooms are lavish beyond expectation, with daybeds and binoculars on large balconies and terraces, shared butler service, womb-like freestanding bathtubs, rock-walled showers, massive beds loaded with colorful pillows—the list goes on and on. Amenities increase with each room category until they include private pools, hot tubs, exclusive butler service, and even chefs if you so desire. The cocktail lounge beside Jean-George Vongerichten's Market restaurant is the best place for sunset watching, and the more casual palapa-shaded Agua restaurant is a good choice for all meals. Spa treatments take place in gated private cabanas with lounge chairs, hot tubs, showers, and dressing rooms. The Palmilla has one of the few swimmable beaches along the Corridor, along with a private yacht, golf courses, and just about anything else you may desire.
