Don't be put off by the motel-like setting of this budget hotel on the main street of Cabo San Lucas. It's actually one of the best deals in town, with clean, sensibly furnished rooms, enclosed guarded parking, and a decent restaurant. The hotel is run by one of Cabo's founding families, owners of several large resorts under the Solmar brand. Rooms are accessed via exterior hallways in two long buildings with archways, porticos, and tiled roofs reminiscent of Mexican haciendas. All are packed a bit tightly with a television, small fridge, coffeemaker, table and chairs, and two beds. Sinks are conveniently located outside the bathroom. Continental breakfast is included in the rate, and best enjoyed at an outdoor table facing the two pools. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the beach by foot.
