Hotel PlayaSol
At first glance, the name and mid-century façade look a little dated, but everything else about this Cadaqués fixture works just beautifully. First and foremost is the setting. While the town’s main beach is stony, the tiny beach that PlayaSol has almost to itself is sandy. At the back, a large olive garden includes a heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi, tennis and ping pong—ideal for young families. There’s plenty of parking too. Inside, the hotel has recently been refurbished throughout using cool, contemporary shades and furnishings. Some of the spacious guest rooms have sea-facing balconies and a covered bar terrace looks across the harbor to the church. Oh, and a superb breakfast is included. What’s not to like?
