This limestone-facade hotel fits so seamlessly into the old city that only guests who enjoy the ample hot water in the shower would know that it was newly constructed in 2009 rather than being here since the days of Hercules. Of the 16 rooms, the two penthouse rooms with private terraces are the most desirable and cost only a small premium. The 10 standard doubles are a bit snug, but well designed with ample storage and robust Wi-Fi. Location is just about perfect for walking around Cádiz—steps from the cathedral and the docks, a short walk to the museum and the market, about 15 minutes on foot from La Caleta beach.
