You can’t beat the location of this hotel—it’s just a few steps from the Château as well as Caen’s pedestrianized center. It’s made up of three separate buildings, one of which was built on the site of a 15th-century priory. It’s a bit of a hodge podge, with some rooms featuring more contemporary furnishings while others have traditional 19th-century-style decor tucked into alcoves. The spa is a welcome place to relax, especially under the pulsating jets of the hydrotherapy pools. The restaurant is renowned for its Normandy-inspired menus.
