If you can’t unwind at the Dan Caesarea, you may need medication. Set amidst acres of lush gardens, the Dan boasts a vast swimming pool and is right next to Israel’s best golf course (guests can use it for a fee). Horseback riding, fishing, diving, bicycling, and other local activities can be easily arranged through the front desk. There is also a full program of summertime in-hotel sports including kids’ basketball. The staff is attentive. And as for the hotel itself, the building is low-rise, 1980s modern, but rooms are spacious and comfy (large enough for an extra child), with terraces that take in wonderful views.
