From the picturesque setting in a wooden lodge on an island in the Bow River to a menu that exemplifies Alberta cuisine (locally grown vegetables, lots of game meats), this is a rich experience. Start with the famed fish and game platter or, at brunch, the fabulous bread and pastry basket. Then you gotta go for the beef or bison, two house specialties (though the salmon is perfectly cooked and quite good, if you're not a red meat fan).
