Movich Casa del Alférez
In a residential area not far from the center, this contemporary hotel, built on the foundations of a colonial townhouse, was inspired by the original architecture, with wrought-iron railings and white marble floors. The rooms have a contemporary feel, with tufted leather headboards, stripped wood floors, and white walls with famous quotes stenciled on them, plus Bose sound systems and rainfall showers. Some have private balconies or loft beds up spiral staircases. There’s good restaurant with South American dishes and Pacific coast seafood, as well as a pleasant cocktail and tapas bar.
