By Plane: Alfonso Bonilla Aragón Airport is 16km northeast of Cali. Avianca (www.avianca.com), Copa (www.copaair.com), JetBlue (www.jetblue.com), LATAM (www.latam.com), American Airlines (www.aa.com), Tame (www.tame.com.ec), and Viva Colombia (www.vivacolombia.co) all serve Cali. Destinations include major Colombian cities like Bogotá, Barranquilla, Cartagena, and Medellín, as well as international cities like Miami, Panama City, Madrid, and Lima. The city center can be reached by bus or taxi (COP$60,000).
By Bus: Cali’s bus terminal (www.terminalcali.com) is 2km north of the center of the city, at Calle 30n no. 2an–29). Dozens of companies offer trips to smaller destinations within the region, as well as direct long-distance buses to places like Cartagena, Medellín, and Bogotá. The mass transit system, called Mio (www.mio.com.co), is an air-conditioned bus network that’s similar to the Transmilenio in Bogotá. It runs the entire length of Av. Quinta (Av. 5) and the center. Rides cost COP$1,800 each.
