Hacienda del Bosque

Cali’s most atmospheric restaurant sits outside of the center, in the Santa Teresita neighborhood near the zoo. The setting is the iconic 19th-century Santa Rita hacienda, with a maze of intimate dining rooms with beamed ceilings and stone floors. The menu is contemporary Colombian, with touches of Peru and the Mediterranean. Dishes include trout cured in panela served with a crunchy focaccia, a Pacific coast seafood risotto with coconut milk, as well as some typical regional snacks like valluna empanadas and pastel de yuca. On Sundays the vibe is more relaxed, with a brunch focused on home-cooked regional dishes like roasted chicken and arroz atollado (meat and rice). Reservations are recommended.
