Most visitors here come on prearranged packages that include transportation, meals, and tours. All the lodges listed in this guide offer packages, but package prices vary greatly depending on whether or not you visit Angel Falls and how long you stay. Per-night rates are listed, with the various tours as add-ons.
In addition to the places listed, Tapuy Lodge (tel. 0212/993-2939) is a pretty, cozy option built right on the lagoon's edge.
Finally, budget travelers can find several options for hanging a hammock, or sleeping in a rented hammock. Rates run around BsF22 to BsF33 per person per night. However, I think the best budget option is to head to the Campamento Tomás Bernal (tel. 0414/854-8234; www.bernaltours.com) across the lagoon on Anatoly Island, with a convivial hostel-like vibe and mix of hammocks and simple rooms. Their hammock camp up near Angel Falls has an excellent early-morning view. There's usually a representative of Bernal Tours at the airport.
