Mondrian Cannes
The Mondrian opened in 2023 in a stunning seafront location. Its décor of light wood and plush fabrics is as stylish as anything in Paris or Tokyo, yet, as this is Cannes, an aura of carefree cool pervades the entire establishment. Minimalist yet comfortable rooms offer a 1920s theme and either city or sea views. They feature wavy blue plush carpets that mirror the ocean in front of the hotel. The hotel's restaurant, Mr Nakamoto, occupies a tropical garden overlooking la Croisette. The kitchen serves iconic New York dishes like steaks and seafood grills with a Japanese twist, a combination that shouldn't work but does.
