By Plane: Satena (www.satena.com; tel. 1/605-2222) offers several weekly flights from Bogotá to the town of La Macarena, from where guides can be hired to explore the reserve. Keep in mind that flights are often canceled because of weather. Luggage is limited to 15 kilos.
Visitor Information: There’s very little tourist infrastructure in place in La Macarena. Cell service barely works, and there is just one very slow Internet cafe.
