QT Resort
One of the most stylish resorts in Port Douglas, QT is a magnet for the hip crowd, who jam the bar on weekends, dying to be seen. The rooms are hip and colorful too, with a slightly retro feel (and in case you fall in love with any of the objets scattered around, there is—rather strangely, I thought—a price list for everything from the coat hangers to the armchairs). There are also one- and two-bedroom villas to rent. It’s too far to walk to town, but it offers free bikes to use and a regular shuttle. From June to October the QT Moonlight Cinema shows classic and new release films.
