Getting There -- Chacras is accessible via local bus no. 10, which stops on La Rioja Street in downtown Mendoza, or via taxi, which is $30 to $35 (£20-£24) from downtown. It is feasible to tour the area on a day outing from the city, combining a few bodegas and a stroll through the town center -- either via the bus, with a driver, in a rented car, or on an organized tour. If you are driving, take the Corredor del Oeste south of Mendoza and follow the signs into the heart of town.

Getting Around -- Once you're in Chacras, you can walk to virtually everywhere, including some bodegas and some great restaurants.
