Camping -- Right on Chautauqua Lake, you'll find 250 campsites with 2,000 feet of lakefront at the sprawling Camp Chautauqua, Route 394 (tel. 800/578-4849 or 716/789-3435). Count on lots of RV traffic, though you'll be able to find a spot for yourself to pop a tent. You'll also get tons of amenities like a teen center, coin-op laundry, heated pools, and tennis. There are also another 180 campsites at Chautauqua Heights, 5652 Thumb Rd., Dewittville (tel. 716/386-3804).
