Every corner of this hotel is bathed in a postmodern minimalist cool. In a country so often decorated in Thai silks and teak woods, here the design aesthetic is of the moment, the furniture and decor seamlessly blending sharp lines with rounded edges, and pops of orange. Everything flows. Rooms are very livable and have all the finer creature comforts: Daybeds, roomy living areas, and well-stocked bathrooms. An upgrade to the deluxe club level allows access to the chic club lounge, with free cocktails and snacks. The hotel’s staff are fun hipsters (they dance the conga at shift changes) but all are very attentive and helpful. Its location in the heart of the shopping district couldn’t be better. Overall, this is an enjoyable and unique choice.
