Set in an elegant 1930s Shanghai mansion, at the entrance to the traditional Lanna village that contains the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi hotel, this restaurant turns out some of the tastiest Chinese cuisine to be found in Thailand. Dim sum lunches, with bite-sized dumplings arriving in bamboo steamer baskets (around 800B for all you can eat), are lots of fun and a very good value. Dinner is more formal, includes Peking duck along with Cantonese and Sichuan specialties. While eating, diners are invited to taste the black tea from Fujian Province after which the restaurant is named.
