A modern Lanna vibe permeates this elegant, understated resort along the river. Rooms feature rustic stone floors and beds evocatively draped in netting. Each is flooded with light though pricier rooms overlook the river, while others line a narrow garden pond. Aall have pleasant indoor and outdoor sitting areas and include large shower areas, some with a soaking tubs. In the common areas you’ll find an infinity pool and the spa’s outdoor salas on the riverbank, plus indoor treatment rooms. The Legend may not have the reputation, or all the facilities, of the international chain hotels, but offers a good dollop of charm usually at a slightly lower nightly rate.
