This West Loop restaurant, winery, and concert venue burst onto the music scene in 2012, bringing in night after night of acts that critics—and fans—absolutely love, from blues and jazz to folk and hip hop, rock, country, and more. Prince, Sinead O’Connor, Lucinda Williams, Billy Bragg: They’ve all already played here, along with some lesser known talents. You’ll hear few complaints about the bookings; rather, the grumbling is about the so-so food, which is actually served during the performance at long, communal, assigned tables, and the house-blended wine, which doesn’t measure up to the price tag.
